Enter Pip the Penguin, an adorable, friendly bird from the Southern Hemisphere aiming to waddle into the hearts of kids. This playful penguin is the new mascot for Adventist Health Bakersfield’s pediatric services. Pip wants to help youngsters feel at ease and make learning healthy habits fun for families! Kids in Kern County may meet this playful penguin during hospital visits—or out and about—through our Children’s Mobile Immunization Program and other community events. Why a penguin? Penguins are social animals who are fiercely loyal to each other and their families. We get it. At Adventist Health Bakersfield, we loyally support each other and the communities we serve. That’s why Adventist Health Bakersfield employees painted “Positivity Pebbles” that are now scattered throughout the community.
